What is your money-back policy?

General

We can refund purchases made with credit cards or PayPal to the source account. Please note that Namecheap has no control over any additional charges that PayPal or credit card companies may charge, so you’ll need to contact them directly.

Payments made using Bitcoin will be refunded to your Namecheap Account.


Domain Names

As stated in our Domain Registration Agreement, domain registrations and renewals are final. However in some cases, we may provide a refund if you have a valid reason for requesting a new domain name cancellation — you will need to Contact Us within 3 days (72 hours) after registration.

Please note that cancellation and refund may be not possible due to restrictions imposed by the applicable registry or registry operating company.

Refunds are not possible for Premium Domains. It is not possible to change or edit domain names after registration, so please ensure correct spelling before confirming your domain purchase.

Hosting Services

Namecheap offers a Refund Policy on new purchases of Shared, Reseller, VPS Hosting, and Dedicated servers.

Please note that renewals of services, including hosting packages and private email subscriptions, are non-refundable.

Individual hosting product policies are as follows:

Shared & Reseller Packages

Open to a full refund within 30 days of purchase, giving you plenty of time to test their overall performance. Applicable for the first-time hosting packages only.


VPS Packages

First-time VPS purchases are refundable within 30 days. Additional third-party software licenses (like cPanel or Softaculous) are non-refundable.


Dedicated Servers

First-time Dedicated purchases are refundable (excluding license prices) within 1 week of the delivery date.

Please note that as stated above, hosting renewals are non-refundable. Only first-time hosting accounts are eligible for our 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. For example, if you've previously purchased a Namecheap Hosting package and cancelled it with a refund, you will not be eligible for any further shared hosting refunds.


Private Email Service

As we offer a 2 Month Free Trial for all our Private Email subscriptions, refunds are not applicable for new purchases and renewals. Please refer to the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for more detailed information.


SSL Certificates

Open to a full refund within 15 days of certificate issuance.

Certificates which are activated but not yet issued (status in your account states ‘Purchased’) as well as non-activated Certificates (status in your account states ‘New Purchase’) can be canceled and refunded within 90 days of purchase.

PremiumDNS

Open to a full refund within 5 days of purchase. In all other cases, such as renewals, PremiumDNS and related service(s) are non-refundable.


Apps Marketplace

Our Apps Marketplace products are open to a full refund within 24 hours of purchase or renewal. However applications which have a trial period or a free plan are not refundable.
