Verifying a new domain for G Suite (Google Apps)

In order to associate your domain name purchased from Namecheap and pointed to our BasicDNS, BackupDNS (a legacy option), PremiumDNS or FreeDNS with your G Suite account, you need to verify domain ownership first. This can be done in the following way:

Having logged into your G Suite account (have no G Suite account?), go to the Admin Console to start the verification process. Click on the Start button:

On the next page, please click on the Choose a different method and select Add a domain Host record (TXT or CNAME) from the drop-down menu:

You will be requested to sign in to yourNamecheap account. Just open your Namecheap account in another browser's tab (please don't close the current tab) and tick the corresponding checkbox on G Suite:

Now tick the "I have opened the control panel for my domain" checkbox to get a verification record for your domain (it starts with "google-site-verification="):

Once you get a record, go to your Namecheap account > Domain List > Manage > Advanced DNS > Host Records > Add New Record to set it up (more detailed instruction on how to create a TXT record can be found in the "How do I add TXT/SPF/DKIM/DMARC records for my domain?" article).

Once done, click Save All Changes:

Let's also set up your email on this page. Scroll a bit to the Mail Settings section > select Gmail > Save Changes:

Wait for 30 minutes for the host records to be accepted. After that, please get back to your G Suite account and tick all checkboxes left on the page. Then click on the "Verify domain and set up email" button:

If your settings have been verified, you'll get the following message:

Enjoy the G Suite service!

Configuring G Suite (Goggle Apps) for the domain that was already verified

If you had a domain added to your G Suite (Google Apps) account, but some settings have been changed for it, the only thing you need to do to run the email service again is to set up MX records on your domain's side. In this case, start the setup from the step where you select Gmail in the Mail Settings section.
