G Suite: Signup and mailbox setup

In order to start using G Suite with Namecheap, two steps are required:

1. Purchase your G Suite subscription
2. Create your G Suite account

1. Purchase your G Suite subscription

To start, visit the G Suite product page and click on the From $6/mo button below the application icon:

You will then be prompted to allow G Suite to access your data:

If you click Allow, you will be redirected to a new page to set up your G Suite account:

Upon clicking Add New, you will see a pop-up window asking whether you’d like to choose an existing domain for your G Suite or to purchase a new one:

PLEASE NOTE: It’s possible to purchase a subscription for a domain that is registered with Namecheap, such as our Namecheap BasicDNS, PremiumDNS, BackupDNS, Web Hosting DNS or Custom nameservers. However, in case your plan changes, your domain name needs to be pointed to our BasicDNS or PremiumDNS.

On the next page, you’ll have the opportunity to choose the plan that best fits your needs:

Next, you will be prompted to enter a desired domain name (if Purchase a new domain was chosen). Once you’ve found the respective domain, now click Next below the domain list:

After that, fill in or confirm the Whois information for the domain:

You will be prompted to choose a payment method and confirm your purchase:

Once you click Confirm payment, you will be taken to the page where you need to confirm your information and proceed to the subscription setup.

PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to quit at any point in this process and start again, you will see the Open button, instead of From $6/mo, to complete your subscription.

2. Create your G Suite account

In order to create your G Suite account with Namecheap, you need to proceed with your mailbox setup. To do this, please follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your Namecheap account.

2. Select Apps from the left sidebar and click on G Suite:

3. You will now be taken to a page where you should click on the small button next to your domain name and choose Setup G Suite from the drop-down menu:

4. Now fill in your G Suite account information to create your new account with Google and hit Setup:

PLEASE NOTE: Make sure to use a valid and already existing email address that is separate from yourdomain.tld. This ensures that we can reach you in case DNS validation fails.

5. You should then receive the following email from Google confirming that a subscription was created on the Google Cloud side:

6. The next step is to create a new user and fill in the name of your mailbox and password:

7. Upon your successful account creation, the "Success" page will be shown:

If you click on Go to your Inbox, you will then be forwarded to the standard Google account login page.

PLEASE NOTE: If you purchase a G Suite subscription with several seats at once, you will only be able to set up your Admin G Suite email address with Namecheap (that is the one that will be used to access your Google Admin Console). Once it is created, you will be able to add new seats from the Admin Console itself.
