Redemption Grace Period (RGP) is the status that most TLDs enter if they are not renewed in time.
When the domain expires, your website and mail service will stop functioning, and no changes can be made to the domain. If you do not renew the domain name within the renew grace period, it may be auctioned off. If the domain isn’t auctioned off, it enters the RGP.
More details about domains' grace periods can be checked in the "TLDs' grace periods" article.
RGP lasts for 30 days. As an owner, you still have an option to return the domain at this stage for a
redemption price (plus
$0.20 ICANN fee for generic TLDs). You can check redemption prices
here.
PLEASE NOTE: No changes can be made to expired domains, including contact details update.
That's it!
