How can I renew my expired domain?

Once the domain expires, it enters a renew grace period.

NOTE: .CH, .ES, .COM.ES, .NOM.ES, .ORG.ES,  .FR, .LI, .PE, .COM.PE, .NET.PE, .ORG.PE, .SG, .COM.SG, .COM.AU, .NET.AU, .ORG.AU domains do not have a renew grace period. Such domains must be renewed not later than 12 days prior to the actual expiration date, as per the regulations of their Registries.

.CX, .DE, .EU and .NL domains must be renewed not later than 5 days before the expiration date.

.TO domains can be reactivated only during the 30-day period after the expiration. Then they become reserved by the Registry with no possibility to reactivate them.

Other domains can be renewed during the renew grace period (30 days for most gTLDs) by following these instructions:

1. Sign into your Namecheap account and select Expiring/Expired from the left sidebar.

2. Find the domain you'd like to renew and add it to your shopping cart. Then click the View Cart button:

3. Click the Confirm Order button and proceed with the checkout:

NOTES:

1) If you renew the domain after its expiration date, 1 year will be added to the actual expiration date, not to the reactivation date (the date you submit the order).

2) Starting from January 24, 2019, it is possible to purchase renewal SSL during the domain renewal/reactivation by adding the certificate from the suggested items within up to 15 months prior to the SSL expiration date, please check the details here.

Once your domain is reactivated, please allow 24-48 hours for the changes to take effect globally and for the website to come back online.

If you don't find your domain in the Expiring/Expired section, that means it has passed the renew grace period and is now in the fully expired/redemption state. For details regarding reactivation of a domain name in this state, review this article.

That's it!
