1. Sensitive names — words that may be considered scandalous, obscene, offensive, indecent, and/or contrary to Malaysian public norms (words that are associated with sex, gambling, profanity, racial slurs, and terrorism).

2. Reserved names — specific keywords forbidden by the registry that can’t be used when registering a domain at Namecheap:

Country names (full country names, like australia.my, are not permitted. But combinations, like australiacoffee.my, are).
Malaysian state names (eg. kualalumpur, penang, malacca).
Malaysia government terms (eg. gov, government, primeminister, parliament).
Royal names relating to the Malaysian royal family (eg. king, agong, sultan, raja, royal, prince).
Religious names (eg. islam, buddha, hindu, christianity).
Bank or finance company terms (eg. bank, insurance, takaful, finance, financial, forex).
Geographical names (who, nato, un).

Domain names that have restricted/sensitive keywords are manually approved by the Malaysian registry. The review period may take several business days from the initial order date. Also be aware of false-positive cases when a prohibited keyword is a part of a word/phrase in your domain (e.g. alphabet.my). These domains will undergo manual review too.
