In order to change VPN protocols on Android, please follow the steps below:
1. Start the Android VPN app.
2. Click on top right and you will see the Settings menu:
3. Go to the Protocol settings:
4. Under Protocol Settings, you can select the preferred protocol:

To use WireGuard® protocol:
- update your FastVPN app to the latest version;
- choose the WireGuard® protocol from the app settings;
- go back to the connect screen and click the Connect VPN button;
- once you connect to the server, FastVPN will automatically establish a secure VPN connection using WireGuard®.
- IKEv2 - 256-bit encryption, secure, stable and mobile oriented. Choose the IKEv2 protocol, allow to add new configuration if needed, go back to the connect screen and click the Connect VPN button. Once you connect to the server, FastVPN will automatically establish a secure VPN connection using IKEv2.
Additionally, you can select the preferred OpenVPN Port and enable the Scramble function that allows you to add obfuscation capability to OpenVPN in order to bypass network sensors that detect VPN usage in order to block it.
