Will my email work with FastVPN?


Yes, your email will work with our VPN service. FastVPN does not block email while connected. However, there are some cases in which your email may not work over VPN, in particular, sending email from your ISP email account (YourName@charter.net, for example).

ISPs often block the ability to send mail if they detect you are trying to send email from an IP address outside of their network. So, if you are connected to FastVPN on a Windows PC for example, your IP address will no longer show as coming from your ISP. Instead, it will appear to be coming from a FastVPN server and could be blocked in some cases. You may continue to send emails from your ISP email account by simply disconnecting from our VPN.

Some servers that send emails (SMTP servers) do not allow more than five connections per minute. Check your chosen email provider’s Terms of Service to see if this is the cause of the issue.

Another option is to use a 3rd party email provider that does not have these types of restrictions.
