General configuration for mail clients and mobile devices

With any Namecheap shared hosting package, you can send and receive e-mails using the domains hosted under your account by following the instructions here.

It is possible to configure your e-mail client or mobile device to retrieve and send the e-mails using your hosting server.

To set up an e-mail client for an e-mail account created in cPanel, please use the following configurations:

Username: your e-mail address
Password: the password set in cPanel during e-mail account set-up
Incoming server type: IMAP or POP3
Incoming server (IMAP): 993 port for SSL, 143 for TLS.
Incoming server (POP3): 995 port for SSL, 110 for TLS.
Outgoing server (SMTP): 465 port for SSL, 25/587 port for TLS.
Incoming server/outgoing server name: the name of the server your hosting account is located on. It can be obtained either in the welcome email in the section Account Information, or following the guide here.

Outgoing server authentication should be switched on, SPA (secure password authentication) must be disabled.
