Apps purchase and renewal
This article describes the purchase process within the Namecheap Apps Marketplace.
The Marketplace provides a variety of applications which you can use for your website. You can find more about which apps are available at the moment here.
Our Marketplace lists products with different payment cycles: free, recurring, one-time payment.
When purchasing an application for the first time, you can do so directly from the Marketplace by clicking either “Free” or “From $$/mo” depending on the billing cycle of the chosen application.
Most of the applications in our Marketplace can only be paid for using a credit card at the moment. This includes both initial payments and renewals. We intend to provide other possibilities for payment in future, however, at the moment, there is no ETA for the implementation.
You can refer to the following article to see how to assign or update your card details within your Namecheap account.
NB! Certain applications have not yet moved to the new version of our Apps Marketplace. Those applications are marked as Legacy Apps. You will see a correspondent notification for them on the product page for the application. These applications can be paid for using a card, Paypal or Namecheap funds.
The following apps are Legacy Apps at the moment: Weebly, Canvas, Marketgoo, SiteBooster, Nimbusec.
All of the recurring products are set for auto-renew right after purchase and you can disable auto-renew for an application anytime during the currently active billing cycle for your application. This can be done within your Namecheap account by:
Clicking on your username in the top left corner and clicking on “Dashboard”
Next, click on the “Apps” tab in the left-side menu and then on the “Subscriptions” tab at the top center
There you can disable a toggle for any of the existing subscriptions
