How to configure Exchange account in eM Client app

In this article you will find the instructions on how to synchronize e–mails, contacts and calendar events of your Namecheap Private Email account via the eM Client app specifically adopted for Private Email App Suite.

NOTE: before setting up email account this way, make sure you already have required DNS records and mailbox created.

1. First of all you need to download the eM Client.

2. Once the eM Client is downloaded, proceed with installation. Click Agree and then Install:


Make sure to remove the checkmarks in the Set eM Client as default application and Run on Windows startup, unless that’s what you want. Click Finish:

3. After the installation, a pop-up window will appear where you can select the preferred design for the app. After this you can choose to import your data from another software, or else you can skip this step. To proceed select Outlook (or other program) and click Next:

In case you wish to set up synchronization of Mail, Calendar and Contacts at once follow the instructions below:

1. Click on the Mail >> OX Setup >> Next:

NOTE: At this step you should skip the Automatic Setup option and proceed to Mail right away which is the starting point.


2. Enter your Private Email address and click Next:


3. Choose the IMAP as incoming server and fill in the required information:

Incoming server: mail.privateemail.com
Username: your email address
Password: password to your email address

Click Next:


4. Confirm the settings for the outgoing server by clicking Next once again:


5.  In the next two windows enter the following details to synchronize the Contacts and Calendar:

Account address URL: https://dav.privateemail.com
User name: your email address
Password: password to your email address

Click Next to confirm:


6. The next tab requires to enter the OX App Suite API address - this will help to synchronize Tasks Enter the following details to proceed:

App Suite API address: https://mail.privateemail.com
User name: your email address
Password: password to your email address

Click Next:


7. Let the application finish testing configuration and click Next to proceed:


8. Specify the account details  or skip it and do it later in preferences. Proceed with Next:


9. Make sure to select all of the options below. Click Finish to create the account:


Congratulations! Now you read  Mail, create and accept Calendar events and manage Contacts in the eM Client app on your PC:


Mail setup



1. To synchronize emails from your Private Email account, click on the Mail tab and select Other. Click Next:

2. Enter your Private Email address and click Next:


3. Choose the IMAP as incoming server and fill in the required information:
Incoming server: mail.privateemail.com
Username: your email address
Password: password to your email address

Click Next:


4. Confirm the settings for the outgoing server by clicking Next once again:


5. In the Test Configuration tab all the settings will be checked automatically. In case you receive any error while the configuration check, click Fix to resolve the issue:


If the testing was successful, you will see the following result. Click Next to proceed:


6. Specify the additional information about your account and proceed with Next:


7. Click Finish to create the account:






To synchronize your Calendar and Contacts follow the next steps:

1. In the Contacts or Calendar tab choose CalDav icon or CardDav icon correspondingly. Click Next:


2. In the next window enter the following details:

Account address URL: https://dav.privateemail.com
User name: your email address
Password: password to your email address

Click Next to confirm:


3. Enter the account name, or leave the email address in this field. Click Next:


4. Click Finish to create the account:



PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to synchronize your Mail, Calendar and Contacts all at once, you need to choose the OX Setup icon in the Mail, Calendar or Contacts tabs.
