Namecheap Offers Free Anonymous Domain Registration and Web Hosting For Any Anti-War And Protest Websites In Russia & Belarus

Phoenix, AZ - March 2, 2022 - The world’s second-largest domain registrar and global web service company Namecheap today announced it will be offering free anonymous domain registration and free web hosting to all protest or anti-war websites in Russia or Belarus.

In response to Alexei Navalny’s call today for nationwide war protests in Russia, the company decided to take further action to help make it easier to share information online and take action against the war in Ukraine.

Namecheap recently made the decision to stop offering its products and services in Russia and Belarus following the unjustified invasion and attack of the Ukrainian people. Namecheap has a substantial group of team members located in Ukraine who are currently under bombardment by Russian attacks.

“We all must do what we can to stop the war crimes that are being committed every day against the innocent people of Ukraine,” said Richard Kirkendall, Namecheap CEO. “Our hope is that by offering these services in an anonymous way, with no strings attached, that people within Russia that are currently under threat to not speak up against this war are able to organize and do so in a way that may minimize reprisals.”

Russian and Belarusian customers who are standing up to their regime can contact Nameheap’s customer service for more information.
