As part of our Certificate Authority transition, Namecheap is replacing PremiumSSL Wildcard with OV Wildcard SSL from SSL.com. OV Wildcard SSL offers the same core protections, securing a website and its subdomains with trusted HTTPS encryption.
The PremiumSSL Wildcard SSL certificate allows site administrators to secure an unlimited number of subdomains of a single domain. It's a perfect solution for websites hosting a single domain with various subdomains, such as mail.domain.com and products.domain.com. PremiumSSL Wildcard is a full business-validated certificate, providing validation of the organization behind the website, making it ideal for business sites that collect sensitive customer data.
Please note that due to the validation process, it may take up to two business days to issue your PremiumSSL Wildcard Certificate.

Your business registration needs to be authenticated. SSL.com will check to see that your company is legally registered by verifying your business profile.
This person must currently hold an executive position within the company (CEO, CFO, COO, etc.)
A versatile security solution
In addition to domain ownership, Comodo checks business registration before issuing a certificate. This gives more assurance to site visitors.
With PremiumSSL Wildcard, you can easily secure an unlimited number of subdomains associated with one domain name – far more cost-effective than buying separate SSLs for each subdomain.
PremiumSSL Wildcard carries a $250,000 warranty. That's the amount payable to site visitors who rely on your SSL if they incur loss from an online transaction due to a mis-issued Comodo certificate.
Site Seals are free SSL logos provided with your certificate. You can place a site seal anywhere on your website to show that your site has Comodo SSL.
You will need to submit some documents for validation. If everything is in order, Comodo will issue your SSL certificate within two business days.
If you are not satisfied with your SSL purchase, for any reason, let us know within 15 days and we'll refund the purchase price.
A CSR generated on your web server for your domain name.
SSL certificates must be installed on your web server. Therefore, an end-to-end SSL installation support is possible only in cases where the domain name is hosted with Namecheap. If the domain is hosted with any other provider, please contact their support team for assistance with CSR generation and SSL installation.
Selected orders may be flagged for an additional "Brand Validation" procedure by the Certificate Authority. This is a necessary security measure. If the order is flagged for Brand Validation, SSL issuance will be delayed for a period of time deemed necessary by the Certificate Authority.
To give you the best price and comply with security standards 2, 3, 4 and 5-year SSL should be reissued annually for free to avoid service interruption.
