Due to security reasons the approval email for SSL certificates can be sent either to a generic email address from the list below or to an email address from Whois.

The generic email addresses are:

admin@yourdomain.com
administrator@yourdomain.com
hostmaster@yourdomain.com
webmaster@yourdomain.com
postmaster@yourdomain.com

The Whois email can be hidden by the Domain Privacy protection service. When enabling the protection, you will be able to specify the email where the protection will forward to. A protected email should not cause any issues.

If the Whois email is not displayed during activation, or the obsolete email is offered instead of the recently updated one, you would need to contact us in Live Chat or submit us a ticket with a request to change the validation email. Please be aware that the Whois email should be displayed in official online databases such as whois.com.

The approval email address is to be chosen during the activation of your certificate.
