This is to inform you that the Namecheap SSL plugin in cPanel on Namecheap Shared hosting is temporarily disabled while we carry out maintenance and improvements.
Date of the start: November 6, 16:30 UTC / 11:30 AM EST
Expected duration: No ETA yet. We’ll post an update when the plugin is back.
Customer impact:
- SSL certificates that are already installed keep working until they expire.
- Customers can’t use the plugin to activate, reissue or install Namecheap SSL certificates. This includes the free PositiveSSL certificate included with hosting.
- Automatic SSL installation/reissue will proceed working.
Workaround:
- Activate or reissue the certificate in the Namecheap account (Dashboard → SSL Certificates), then install it manually in cPanel → SSL/TLS.
