Canceled – The current registrar has rejected transfer

The domain transfer was rejected by the current registrar. This might happen if the domain does not meet the requirements/conditions of your current registrar or those specified in ICANN's 'Policy on Transfer of Registrations Between Registrars'.

Please note that in order for a domain to be transferred successfully the following must apply:

  • 60 days have passed since the initial domain registration or the previous transfer date;
  • the domain is unlocked at the current registrar;
  • the domain shows valid and accurate contact information in Whois (whois privacy is disabled).

It is strongly recommended to disable whois privacy protection service since some registrars do not release domains if they have privacy protection enabled. Also, there might be other specific/inner policies at your current registrar preventing the transfer, which you can specify with them.

Refund information:

The money for the failed transfer was credited to your Namecheap account Funds. If you would like to re-initiate the transfer, please make sure that the domain is matching the transfer conditions above and use the refunded money during the checkout (on the payment selection page select Pay with Funds option).

If you paid for the transfer using your credit card or PayPal and no longer wish to transfer your domain, please contact our Support Team to issue the refund to the source of payment.
