Technical SEO Manager

Location: US, Canada, UK, or Europe where the person can work US hours between 9am - 1pm EST, or 12pm - 4pm EST. Authorized to work full time in the country of employment.

Product Description, a leading ICANN-accredited domain name registrar and web hosting company with more than 9 million domains under management, is looking for an experienced technical SEO manager to join the company and support our global growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management and timely completion of enterprise SEO projects, such as:

    • Site migration.

    • Launch of new products and new brands.

    • Redirects and crawl error fixes.

    • Site architecture optimization.

    • Site performance and search UX improvement.

    • Page template validation and optimization.

    • Global meta tag rules.

    • Internal linking structure.

  • Provide SEO recommendations to Product, IT, and UX teams on cross-functional projects.

  • Monitor site crawl results on a regular basis. Identify issues reported by webmaster tools and third party crawlers that require technical fixes. Prioritize SEO tickets and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues. Report progress on a weekly basis.

  • Supervise periodic link audit to clean up backlink profile and ensure compliance with search engine guidelines. Responsibilities may include:

    • Linking domain analysis and risk assessment.

    • Webmaster outreach to fix out-of-compliance inbound links.

    • Regular update of disavow file.

    • Site performance monitoring after disavow file update.

  • Supervise and coach junior team members who work on designated SEO projects.

  • Manage external vendors to ensure the quality of contracted work and its timely completion.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Provide on-page optimization support to new product launch and promotional campaigns.

  • Assist the analysis of competitors' link profile to inform our link acquisition strategy.

  • Provide ad hoc support to off-page link acquisition projects.

Preferred Experience

  • 4-5 years of technical SEO experience preferred. An "SEO technologist". Experience in large scale site migration / rebranding / new product launch / new brand launch is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in SEO industry tools, such as Screaming Frog SEO Spider, Moz Pro, Open Site Explorer, Majestic SEO, SEMRush, Ahrefs, LinkResearchTools, and RMOOV, etc.

  • Proficiency in MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint and working knowledge of Google Analytics.

  • Solid logic reasoning and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to interact successfully with cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationship.

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and people management skills.

  • Good time management skills – ability to meet deadlines.

  • Career-minded, hardworking and detail oriented. A self-starter.


  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
