How to setup Dynamic DNS when I use Free DNS service?

Before you start using Dynamic DNS , make sure you setup an A record for the particular host (host refers to: @, www, yoursubdomain). To start using Dynamic DNS please follow the instructions below:

  • Log in to your account.
  • Click on Manage Domains and select Hosted Domains option from the left pane.
  • Click the domain you want to setup dynamic DNS for and select Dynamic DNS option.
  • Choose Enable Dynamic DNS for this domain radio button and click Save Changes.
  • The resulting page will give you the password to use in your dynamic DNS client.

    Once the client is setup, you are all set to use dynamic DNS.
